Illustration Bio:
Her work invokes imagination and play for a variety of ages and audiences. She is excited to bring both animal and human characters to life in stories full of mystery, magic, chance encounters, self-discovery and whimsical adventure. Her love of different mediums allows her to combine traditional materials such as charcoal, pen, ink, and watercolor with digital techniques to create something that wonderfully blends traditional craft with the needs of modern printing. She loves pushing each project to include unusual elements and is continuously pursuing clever and imaginative details that provide an avenue to witness nature in direct contact with the magical and playful side of humanity: racoons in pinball machines, fortune telling ostriches, kangaroo astronauts.
She has been featured as a demonstrating artist at the Denver Art Museum, a chalk artist at the Cherry Creek Arts festival and an animator for Night Lights Denver. She is just beginning her journey into kidlit illustration, but has years of experience in the art world as a teacher, program manager, graphic designer and artist.

Chelsea is a jack of all trades artist, based in Denver Colorado. She works in graphic design, murals, chalk art, and even animation, however, her passion for whimsical illustration is at the center. She loves pushing each project to include unusual elements and is continuously pursuing clever and imaginative details. Even when working on wedding invitations or corporate logos she is always considering how to make a piece that much more unpredictable and exciting.
Her focus in illustration is an amazing space for her love of animal characters and whimsy which shines through her work, capturing the wonder of nature and worlds full of imaginative details, and the quirky and mystical facets of the animal kingdom. Her love of working in so many different mediums allows her to combine traditional materials such as pen, ink, paint, and chalk with modern technology such as digital drawing, laser cutting, large-scale printing, and animating. The combination of analog and digital art creates something that wonderfully blends traditional craft with the tech world and allows her style accommodate a huge variety of commissions. Overall, her work encourages imagination through illustration and novel design, and she is always looking to expand her projects through continued collaborations and invention.
